From the Owner’s Desk: a Correction

Hey guys and dolls,

There was a misprint in the post about the Fashion Symposium. Tickets are $30 not $35.

Any questions? Email us at LuvherStyle@gmail.com.

Fashionably yours,
Jaclynn Ashley

If you can’t make the Fashion Symposium, come out to the official after party, the Show Up and Show Out Mixer at the Aloft Hotel in Linthicum, MD.

Hey there, guys and dolls!
Not too long ago, we did a piece on the stylish gentlemen of the NBA. We’re back today, with an addendum—an update, if you will, on one of the players featured in that article—

Amar’e Stoudemire.

If you’re even remotely into basketball, particularly the Knicks, then you know that Amar’e’s been out for a while due to a back injury. In the time since he’s been out, he’s obviously had time to grow his hair out. I know there are different ways of processing and working through change and, more importantly (as an athlete), injuries, but these cornrows were not the way to go.
With just a few inches of hair, Amar’e went from 2012 to 1997. To make matters worse, they’re not even long. Similarly to the way he’s been performing on the court, the end of his braids are praying for hang time.
But, I digress.
What are your thoughts on Amare’s new look? How long do you think it will last?

From the Owner’s Desk: the Unveiling

Hey guys and dolls,

I hope you’ve had a great day so far. The topic of today’s post has been a long time coming and the entire Luvher Style team is absolutely stoked about it.

Every reputable business has something iconic that is solely representative of its brand. We are proud to announce and unveil the official Luvher Style logo, which was created by Rob Yung (@robyung).

Don’t you love it?

It completely embodies the feel of the brand—fresh, classic, and timelessly modern.

We are also in the process of building the official website, so stay tuned and we’ll continue to bring you the latest in creative endeavors in art, fashion, music and beyond..

Yours sincerely,

Jaclynn Ashley

Need a little help from our friends..

Hey guys and dolls,

I hope you’ve all been doing well. I’ve missed you all tremendously!

Now, since our last post, so much has transpired. Allow me to fill you in.

Luvher Style has been nominated for the Emerging Media Member at the first (yes, the first) annual Fashion Awards Maryland. This is a big deal; we celebrated our one year anniversary on Dec. 29 and have been able to reach a grand stage and audience with this nomination.

Now, here’s where you all can help. We need all of our guys and dolls to show their support by visiting the official Fashion Awards MD website (www.FashionAwardsMD.com) and voting Jaclynn Ashley, Luvher Style for Emerging Media Member. The ballot is available under the tab “Vote” then “Early Show”.

We are in the public voting phase until May 31st. You can only vote once from each IP address (laptop, computer, phone, iPad, etc). So please be sure to vote and tell your friends and family to vote, too.

The actual awards will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 in College Park, Maryland. For more information, including ticket sales, visit the official website www.FashionAwardsMD.com.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Send them to LuvherStyle@gmail.com.

Yours sincerely,
Jaclynn Ashley
