Welcome to the JUNIVERSE
Hey guys and dolls,
Last night VH1 aired the season premiere of Styled by June with the “Curator of Style” June Ambrose.

I absolutely loved the premiere episode in which June works closely with former starlet of “The O.C.” Mischa Barton to help her overcome her fear of the paparazzi and media, rub elbows with the movers and shakers in the fashion industry and launch Barton’s fabulous bag line, Mischa Barton Handbags (www.mischabartonhandbags.com).

One of the highlights of the show, June aside, is her first assistant Eli. It seems as though every successful stylist has a “Brad” (Rachel Zoe) or an “Eli”…
In some ways, the season premiere reminded me of The Devil Wears Prada. June started a new assistant at the height of working with Mischa. When the assistant first appeared on camera, she described herself as a “socialite/writer/actress”—-none of which reflects her current role as June’s assistant. If you took nothing else from this episode and my review, as an assistant—especially as an assistant to June—that needs to be your priority, not shopping for yourself when you’re pulling for a client or throwing your coworkers under the bus.
But, I digress…
The first season of Styled by June looks like it will be absolutely amazing. It will definitely take June to the next level in her career and make her a household name outside of fashion circles.
I can’t wait for next week! Be sure to tune in to VH1 every Monday at 9:30 for your chance to enter the Juniverse.
